Just Released: 2017 Regional State of Owner Readiness | Arizona
The State of Owner Readiness™ (SOOR) Survey is a research study that collects business attractiveness and owner readiness data for the middle market on a national level. This information is powerful and from that first national survey, conducted in 2013, the movement has taken off. This year alone, EPI will conduct research across the country in 10 different regions along with a national survey release!
Author, Chris Snider, remarked as he wrote this report, “For the first time in the history of the State of Owner Readiness research, the spouse is the most trusted advisor. The Arizona market has some very unique results that differ from other markets.”
We are pleased to release the fourth regional survey: Arizona.
This research was a collaborative effort of many partners and organizations in the Metro Phoenix and Northern Arizona market. Thank you to our partners Kimberle Dyer, the President of the EPI Arizona Chapter and the Cofounder of Keystone Capital Management Group, and the Arizona Owner Forum Council, including Joseph Evers of Evers Robinson LTD, Norman Lemus of UBS Financial Services, David Noosinow and Anthony Tanner of BNY Mellon Wealth Management, and Rick Wilcox of Point North Group LLC, the Arizona Community Foundation, the Phoenix Business Journal, and the many supporting firms in the EPI Arizona Chapter.
NOTE: EPI has released four regional State of Owner Readiness Reports this year: Greater Nashville, San Diego County, Twin Cities Metro Area, and Arizona. You can download all reports by visiting www.OwnerReadiness.com.
About Exit Planning Institute:
The Exit Planning Institute (EPI) is an education company that provides exit planning education to advisors and middle market business owners. We view exit planning as a strategy, not an event.
EPI leads the professional services profession with the best industry content, ongoing support, and owner education platform, all of which align with our mission: Change the outcome.
Only 2 out of every 10 businesses that come to market actually sell. We want to increase the number of saleable businesses.
Only 30% of family businesses successfully transition to the second generation, only 12% transfer to the third, and the success rates diminish from there. We want to improve those intergenerational transitions.
Of those that succeed in the sale of their business, 75% experience “profound regret” within one year of exiting their business. We want to understand why and create strategies that achieve profound success, wealth, and satisfaction.
EPI is an education company, powered by an elite community of top advisors and owners, all focused toward creating a valuable, transferable future for the business marketplace.
